Hourglass Tapas and Bar
Hourglass Tapas and Bar is a restaurant and bar combination, hypothetically located in the heart of Boston, MA. An hourglass was used as the concept for this project, which can be seen through the finish and furniture selections. The sand from an hourglass is utilized as inspiration as well. The first floor restaurant is a contemporary design, while the lower level speakeasy bar is contemporary infused with 1920's inspired speakeasy design. The customers travel back in time down the glass hourglass elevator.
The Edge Restaurant and Juice Bar
The Edge Restaurant and Juice Bar is located adjacent to the Afloat Hotel. The design was inspired by sea glass. Sea glass has a combination of rough and smooth edges, which allowed for interesting contrast in the materials and finishes. The restaurant has multiple levels of seating, bar, booth, table, and bench. The ceiling and floor mimic one another to allow for wayfinding.
